The Cambridge Writing Retreat is a beautiful space for writers to progress their work and be inspired. We welcome people at all stages of their creative journey and our goal is to nurture writers in a peaceful, calm and inspiring environment. We offer residential writing retreats in our beautiful self-contained Shepherd’s Hut or Bothy. We also run tutored fiction, life writing and poetry courses.
We are here to facilitate that wonderful moment when the ideas flow. Here you leave domestic demands and your worries behind. Roam through the beautiful gardens, feed the chickens or pet our dogs Pepper and Wilfie. You’re here to reset your mind for creativity. We're here to help you relax and let the words come.

Our fabulous residential retreats are ready and waiting for you. Here at the Cambridge Writing Retreat you’re away from the rest of the world, so you can still keep a safe and social distance in self-contained accommodation. Our warm and cosy Shepherd’s Hut and Bothy have en suite bathroom facilities, hobs, fridges, feather-filled duvets, as well as chimineas and BBQs in their own private gardens.
